New connections to Highland Park and the Bud Harris Cycling Oval
A busy Pittsburgh road known for its deadly flooding history has a new safety feature, only this time it’s not gates to close the road but a smooth pathway to keep pedestrians and cyclists separated from speeding traffic.
A new shared path runs along Washington Boulevard for a half-mile stretch from the existing Negley Run Boulevard bike lane to the Bud Harris Cycling Track, a paved cycling oval just beyond the city’s Zone 5 police building.
